Ok, so the new template means that a lot of images won't work because they have been incorrectly named, which means we'll have to upload new images (unless there's a way to change the name of an image). On the plus side, this will get our file names consistent. :s [[User:Levonis|Levonis]] 09:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Links in ability box are nigh-invisible

i gotta point out that if links are included in a monster description, the link's text is dark blue and thus nearly unreadable against the dark background of the template

as far as i can tell there's no way to fix this from within the template itself, so there's three solutions:

  1. edit the templates so that the text blocks have a special class THEN edit MediaWiki:Common.css so that anchor tags within that class are yellow or somesuch
  2. rework the templates so that they're dark text on a light background
  3. not put links within descriptions on these templates
  • number 1 requires an admin to go digging around in the css since that page is protected
  • number 2 defeats the whole purpose of having the templates look like the windows in the game itself
  • number 3 defeats the purpose of having the information in a wiki in the first place

The point of a wiki is to convey information. In the absence of admin tweaking, the link color issue currently hinders this basic goal... although the template to make it look like a game box is slick and cool, I'd say go ahead and change the color scheme until such time as a better fix can be implemented. (Because wikis save a changelog, it'll be very easy to go back to the game-style, once wiki tweaks are in place) --Pauling 18:34, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Variations

I feel that, since these 'variations' apply to every single monster in a series, that this information should be put in the 'traits' section rather than repeated over 10 times on one page. Levonis 10:44, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Drop Table

I have changed the template to show and include the a drop table that we may loot from the monster. Anraiki 09:11, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Moved the description cell down to a new row due to this. It was looking squashed on smaller resolutions (including 1280). Wonder how to tackle variations. Is it possible to have the image change on rollover of text in a wiki? Example: hovering over "Tundralisk Whelp" would change the image of Tundralisk to the baby version. Speech

Some monsters will utter speech ballons when performing their abilities (i.e. Gremlin Tenderfoots saying "Mend!", and Pit Bosses uttering "I'm not saying you should work on the weekend...") Should these utterances go in the description field, or do they belong somewhere else? --Mozai 14:59, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Possible change to include images for all three Tier versions in the template

I was actually working on this back in June 2011, but I completely forgot about it. I've set up a test/comparison template in the Sandbox. Any objections? I'd also need to make two new Monster templates for monsters that only have one version and for those Danger Mission monsters that lack a Tier 1 version. ~Katmint 05:07, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
