It cannot be truly defeated, as it re-spawns very quickly after its health goes down to 0. Distracting it while your squadmates free [[Lost Soul#Freed Soul|souls]] found randomly from broken tombstones throughout the level is probably a better idea than trying to kill it. If it feels a target nearby, the Apocrean Harvester summons small, grasping tendrils with tiny hands out of the ground which bind knights in place similar to the way [[Freeze]] status does. The beam it fires does not deplete collected tokens from what it hits, despite the way it animates (as if sucking many souls or soul-particles out of the area).

A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families. Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics.

There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. These bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. The shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses.

In addition to the four bosses and their shadow versions, eight other mini-bosses are scattered throughout the missions. These mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.

Main Bosses

Shadow Lair Bosses

Expansion Bosses

Warmaster Seerus

Danger Mission (180 prestige) Bosses

  • Compound 42 and Legion of Almire don't have official "bosses," just very bulky units. For Compound 42, players fight (twice) a large scorcher gremlin called a Gremlin Incinerator during the last fight in the Containment level of the mission. In Legion of Almire, players fight several Deadnaughts during the last fight in the Inner Sanctum level of the mission.

The Big Iron

Maulos

Minibosses

Arkus

Collector

Ironwood Sentinel

Razwog

Sputterspark

Special Bosses

  • These bosses are tied to events such as Caketastrophe. So far, only Margrel can be fought outside of the relevant event timeframe (after the event is no longer active in the game).

Apocrean Harvester

Dread Velvet

Margrel

Punkin King
