An Expiring Costume is a costume that disappears out of the player's arsenal after a set amount of time after being obtained and/or equipped (depends on the costume).

List

Editor Note Below is an elaborate sortable list. This show/hide contains information about how to use the list efficiently.

Notes

Logically, no expiring costume has accessory slots.

Expiring costumes often commemorate an event or promotion. They are not meant to last much longer than the event they are associated with because they expire shortly after the relevant event ends.

The topic of this article or section is subject to personal opinion, and does not represent any one absolute truth. If you disagree, discuss your concerns on the the talk page before editing. These costumes likely exist just to "add atmosphere" to an event. You wouldn't wear a scary Halloween costume during Christmas, or eat stuffed turkey during Easter. Or you might! These are just examples of temporary practices associated with transient calendar occurrences that might help explain the idea behind an expiring item, which is regarded by much of the playerbase as a poor investment in general.
