Based on the page history, we have struggled with the ToC in the past, eventually settling on hidden headers. CTRL+F in the new list format should be a good compensation-solution. Currently working on updating list with a new, simpler template that will deal with icky naming conventions easily. -[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 00:41, 21 February 2015 (UTC) |

Past Discussion
What should go on this page?
This will be a table with info on gear sets. So far my thoughts are:
- Image, of course - Name of set, of course - Items in the set - Star level - Alchemy path (so people can sort and easily compare the different paths if there is an option) - Information about bonuses? (trying to think if there is a good way to do this where it is sortable in a manner that people could find what they're looking for)
--Equinox 03:09, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'd like to know how set bonuses show up in-game and what criteria are required for a set to be a set. Perhaps that would better belong as a separate non-list page, but we really need more information on sets in general. --Tathar 02:44, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
I think displaying the ingame box of armor set stats would make sense. For example, the Ash Tail set:
Though it would require a lot of work, it gives more information and is clearer than the current setup. Besides the stats for individual items need to be redone as well, a lot of them are outdated. --Striator 04:35, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Set Links...
Clicking on the name of a set simply takes you to this page: this is fairly annoying. In the absence of individual set pages (which might have their uses but is more work and upkeep than is strictly necessary) would it be worthwhile to add an appropriate anchor tag to the Template:SKSetEntry? I can do it, I just want to make sure it's worth doing. --FlashbackJon 17:37, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, go for it. --Equinox 00:40, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Resorting
I'm afraid I was trolled halfway through resorting and fixing this page, and lost over half an hour worth of work. I'll be back to complete the resortment of this page.
If you haven't noticed, I'm sorting the sets in order of alchemy paths, in the actual order that they are alchemised. The current "sort by alchemy path" option doesn't actually sort it to this degree, and we already have a "sort alphabetically" option so there is no need for the data to be in that order.
While meticulously sorting it like this I picked up a couple spelling and missing data errors, if you wish to have it reverted, let me know, because there is more than just resortment edits in there. --HexZyle 08:05, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- Finished the fine sort-by-alchemical-paths work that HexZyle started. I've followed the List of Alchemy Paths in laying out the sets alphabetically, then by level progression (then alphabetically...), with a few exceptions:
- Left Almirian Crusader after Azure Guardian in the Cobalt set, for visual cohesion.
- Placed the -break sets one after the other (thematic).--Scribo 15:23, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
SetLinks on pages
Have been adding {{SetLink|Xxxx}} to individual Gear pages, as on most of them people have been using [[Page#Section|Setname]] not realising there are no section headings for them to link to. Subsequently, the internal links do not work, just bringing you straight to the non-specific List of Sets page.
I'm currently up to the first Breaker set if anyone should like to pick it up from there (it's going back onto my to-do list for a while). --Scribo 12:37, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah I had it on my userpage but never got around to changing them. It's such a pain having to go through them all.--Trying 14:24, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- No entries for 2013.
List Compression
I've noticed that recolors tend to add a huge amount of length to the list in the costumes section. I've taken out rows for specific colors and left black/white or similar to "represent" that form. I'm going to add "more views" sections to some of the individual pages, so the images for the specifically colored sets are not useless.
Reasoning: page is already huge. With every recolor in every row, it's going to be ridiculous in the future (and it already is quite silly).
List of items-in-sets that I have "compressed" in this manner:
- Rose Regalia
- Battle Chef
- Obsidian
- Polar Wolf
- Steam Wolf (iron, gold, future predictions of more of these) - will do dragon later if it comes.
- Warden

EDIT: finished (think I got everything relevant) going through the pages for the above costume types and added galleries of sets in a new "Gallery" sections on relevant item pages. -Novaster 23:40, 30 July 2014 (UTC)Current Discussion
Future
There's some desire to improve what makes a "set" a set (vs. a "collection")...we might see more things that have weapons too...so... - going to be making some large changes when I'm not so tired and derpish. Template will be easier to fill in with variable name conventions - not everything is "blahblah helmet" or "blahblah mask" sometimes it's "blah blah mask blah" and so on...more and more so. Anchors should still function with rest of wiki, if they're even being used. -Novaster 00:46, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
ToC
I'll be removing the ToC and emphasizing use of CTRL+F. The ToC is huge and doesn't seem to cater to any type of user/gamer. Based on the page history, we have struggled with the ToC in the past, eventually settling on hidden headers. CTRL+F in the new list format should be a good compensation-solution. Currently working on updating list with a new, simpler template that will deal with icky naming conventions easily. -Novaster 00:41, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
