- moved to better umbrella name (so "area" vs. "level" isn't as confusing)"A Calm in the Storm"
The Sanctuary is a fleeting dream, beyond the grasp of The Swarm. This area, tinted white and submerged in tranquility, lies past the Unknown Passage, a depth riddled with the infection of The Swarm. There are three points of interest: a material, an alchemy machine, and an Echo Stone.
Shadow Material
Upon entering the Sanctuary, one immediately has the opportunity to pick up a 5-star material, based on the Shadow Lair just completed:
- Nightmare Mane after the Rabid Snarbolax Shadow Lair
- Celestial Ore after the Ice Queen Shadow Lair
- Gremlonium after the Red Roarmulus Twins Shadow Lair
- Maiden's Tear after the Darkfire Vanaduke Shadow Lair
Alchemy Machine
The Sanctuary Alchemy Machine is an alchemy station, akin to the Krogmo Alchemy Machine. It allows you to craft preset armor pieces, which can be made only at the machine. Crafting via the machine requires the materials and precursor for each item, in addition to the usual 5,000 crowns and 800 energy.

Echo Stone
The final point of interest in the Sanctuary is a pillar of light that explains some of the backstory of the Shadow Lairs and the Swarm. The backstory presented depends on which Shadow Lair was just completed. Each party member acquires an Echo Stone artifact, that contains a permanent record of this backstory.
In this area are a mere three things. The first, a Shadow Material based on the Shadow Lair that was just completed. Secondly, Sanctuary Alchemy Machine, the only way to create Boss Armor, and a pillar of light, which tells a story of the sanctuary and the menace that seeks to corrupt, and grants the Knight an Echo Stone, also depending on the Shadow Lair just completed.
