An Expiring Costume is a costume that disappears out of the player's arsenal after a set amount of time after being obtained and/or equipped (depends on the costume).

List
Below is an elaborate sortable list. This show/hide contains information about how to use the list efficiently. | |
About the List
Click on the costume name or visual example to navigate to individual pages. If the costume has an icon in the "name" column, there is only one color version of that shape. If the item does not have an icon, then there are more color (or slightly different texture/art as with bombheads) variations than shown, with the "visual" column displaying an example. To clarify: in the "slot" column of this list, "helmet" means "helmet costume" and "armor" means "armor costume." Costumes cannot be equipped as actual gear, but gear can be equipped as costumes. We simply feel that seeing "costume" repeatedly in this list is distracting. This table is generally sorted by Order of Release. Other color variations released "later" do not factor into the DoR order - only the first form made available does. For example: "storm" and "raging" Avenger helms just fall under Avenger Helm, and Avenger Helm stays where it was in the list according to the first date of release (Storm), even though the Raging was released after Storm. If a costume has its own description as well as a form (shapes and/or parts, not color) that is even slightly different than other similar costumes, it has its own page. The organizational rules of this list do not consider expiring costumes or the variability of prismatic aspects. |

Notes
Logically, no expiring costume has accessory slots.
Expiring costumes often commemorate an event or promotion. They are not meant to last much longer than the event they are associated with because they expire shortly after the relevant event ends.
These costumes likely exist just to "add atmosphere" to an event. You wouldn't wear a scary Halloween costume during Christmas, or eat stuffed turkey during Easter. Or you might! These are just examples of temporary practices associated with transient calendar occurrences that might help explain the idea behind an expiring item, which is regarded by much of the playerbase as a poor investment in general.
