Description
Only the most frightening of foes can withstand the crippling paralysis caused by the magnum force of the Iron Slug's sudden impact. A charged shot can even pierce through multiple enemies.
Attacks
Basic Attack
A 2-shot combo with a chance of inflicting Stun on hit. Each bullet has a slight blast radius if it hits a monster directly. Each shot interrupts enemy attacks and knocks down enemies that attempt to dodge gunfire.
Charge Attack
Fires a large bullet that can pass through most enemies, possibly hitting them multiple times. Has a chance of inflicting Stun on hit. Launches the user back two squares. The bullet will explode at the end of its flight, damaging all enemies within range.
Damage
The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any UV or bonus from other equipment, and listed as the damage dealt on the first and last floor of each stratum.

Notes
Like Callahan and Mega Magnus, Iron Slug alludes to the Dirty Harry series. The films Magnum Force and Sudden Impact are referenced in the item description.
The Iron Slug has been in the game since it launched (release 2011-04-04). Its recipe was changed in the King Krogmo's Coliseum update (release 2011-08-02). Its knockback was changed in the Mission update (release 2012-02-22). Shortly thereafter, designer Nick Popovich stated that the Iron Slug would be improved "in an upcoming patch" which was implemented as part of the Gunner update (release 2014-12-03).
