Story

We've been receiving reports that Groat, a local Emberlight Chef, has been acting...strange. It seems that Biscotti comissioned him to do some baking on her behalf but the responsibility may have gone to his head. He disappeared into the clockworks soon after Biscotti delivered the last crate of batter. With the Anniversary celebrations at stake once again, Biscotti needs some culinary champions to help her sort out this mix-up! Check on Groat the Gremlin Chef.

• After Dread Velvet is defeated, Groat turns out to be a nice little Gremlin after all.

Groat is a Gremlin encountered in the prestige mission, "A Gremlin in Knead," during the Spiral Knights Anniversary Celebration of 2014.

Groat is an average-sized gremlin who normally has blue goggle-ish eyes, except when possessed by Dread Velvet. When Groat is possessed, he is aggressive, with glowing red eyes and a hunched over body. Dread Velvet sits on top of Groat's head, seeming to control Groat. Groat will attack the player in this state, after sending waves of various creep cakes, rocket puppies, and silk wings at the player.

Groat has red Glow-Eyes when possessed by Dread Velvet.

Groat's frying pan is, so far, a unique weapon.
