Damage type(s) and Attack Speed influence combat. The attack style of the weapon in relation to the combat environment is also important. Consider both when choosing weapons to wield.

Boosts and Penalties are both considered "abilities" in general. Many items don't have any special abilities. See the Abilities page for details. Some enemies are immune to certain status conditions - see individual status pages for details.

This item doesn't have any special abilities.

All weapons gain these CTR bonuses as they level.
  • Level 5+: CTR: Low
  • Level 10: CTR: Medium

The Deadly Crystal Bomb is a 5-star bomb.

A large chunk of Moonstone and Valestone alloy primed with a potent explosive. Studies have shown that this bomb can be used to reduce a zombie's craving for brains by up to 100% by blowing them to pieces. — Tooltip

Basic Attack

Bombs do not have basic attacks, only charge attacks.

Charge Attack

  • Detonation Time: ~5 seconds
  • Radius: ~3.5 tiles

Movement speed is decreased by medium while using the charged attack. Detonation produces a damaging core explosion with a small ~1.5 tiles radius that immediately explodes outward into a larger ring of 8 shards with radius ~3.5 tiles. The central explosion causes minor knockback, usually just enough to push enemies into the second ring. Each shard in the ring explodes ~3 seconds after the central explosion and deal slightly more damage than the central explosion. Enemies dealt enough damage will be knocked down by both primary and secondary explosions.

The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any UV or bonus from other equipment, and are listed as a range found from the first to last floor of each stratum.

Deadly Crystal Bomb's Damage Table
Stratum 1 Stratum 2 Stratum 3 Stratum 4 Stratum 5 Stratum 6

Fiends & Slimes take more damage at the beginning of strata 3 than at the end.

While the base damage for shard bombs are low, they increase substantially more with damage bonuses than other weapons do. See this DPS chart for details.
