Floor Wording

I did a few fixes here and there, but I have to go for tonight. These are tiny finicky things that ultimately don't matter, but are nice to keep consistent. Which is better wording, do you think - "This floor is composed of random AREANAME segments." or "An area similar to AREANAME" ?

We can't just say "This floor is AREANAME," because missions do not have scenario rooms in the random pool for level creation, so they are not truly AREANAME. We settled on the second one when we made gate maps (mostly), but I think the first one in general makes more sense. To save work, we'd stick with the second one. But it seems a little vague, and that's not good for a wiki, now that I'm looking at it later. --Novaster 01:39, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Ohh get it now! Thx ^^ i too like details so i can understand :D i will keep it them like "An area similar to AREANAME" then ^^. Will try my best, after i work sometimes in an specific format (like main list or mission page) it seems like its better to keep somethings to last, at least for me, cuz at the end of fixing all mission page, u can think "well, the mayority of the page have X thing so i can add it like X to all" and keep the consistence that, even if its not big deal, details make everything beutiful haha. I too will go to sleep soon so have a good nite~ --Hikaru 02:31, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Had a talk with another editor, we feel that the "This floor is composed of random AREANAME segments" is best. I shall make a template to use for this phrase and area linking...probably tomorrow. --Novaster 03:47, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Well I got inspired and did it. here's the template and I've fixed up all the gate maps and floor templates. Likely made a few mistakes, feel free to check (please do). Use the area template for mission pages in the floor template's exploration section, they should pretty much be copy pastes from the Gate Map, though don't mention monsters in the exploration section. --Novaster 10:50, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Yeah i saw ^^! Sorry i didnt reply, wasnt in the computer. Im gonna use this format then :) --Hikaru 23:07, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Hurray~. I'm working on the gloaming maps atm. So many little corners! The artifact project I've started shouldn't take long to complete. I'm looking forward to cleaning up the page...hopefully it won't blow up into a huge project! haha. But I'd like for users to have easier access to this content. If it's on the NPC and mission pages as well as the commemorative artifact page, I think a lot more people will be exposed to it more often. What do you think? --Novaster 23:32, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Oh i didnt see the recent changes till now, finally shadow of the beast have content :D. I like the Artifact added to the mission page. Tbh, and for a not-soon-to-be-made (maybe-probably-never-happen) if i have time and everything seems pretty. It would be nice to have a "History" page. I havent read complety the history (from mission) but would be nice. With the Dialogues u made seems like a good choice. As u said with the mission page "like a book" i think in that but in the history timeline or something like that. Ofcourse that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far away haha but after the edits u made seems like it wouldnt be so bad cuz adding dialogues would be easily :P and artific now have their own templates --Hikaru 00:00, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I like to use Release/all and maintain the News page, but there's lots of things they don't make patch notes about. Unless you mean like, lore history, of almire and whatnot. That stuff is all over the place, and yes, an article linking to and summarizing lore/history would be sweet. --Novaster 00:04, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Oh look I found this. It's a start. --Novaster 00:05, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I had to google that! New Word to me haha. That is what i meant! In a... Timeline format or an informative format something like, a page to talk only about the history of the game, now i know "Lore" would capsule all what i was saying haha. Im a dork for those thing haha but ofcourse, i prefer organizing the information that is like a future-not-soon-proyect i would like to help with :)!--Hikaru 00:13, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Prestige Badges

>.>

<.<

We should probably fix all these up to have proper, consistent names. --Novaster 05:27, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Hahaha yes, those are all mess up and floating arond haha. But i add them the cat so i can remember "there u are!" xD those have user page's linked. What do u think of the one i upload? i trough it looked better with fourthstage instead of 25k, to keep ur format --Hikaru 05:33, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I think I should make a table with red text file names for consistent uploading...then we fix the existing ones so they're not in use and tag them with delete. --Novaster 05:36, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
And of course put said table on the Prestige page when we're done in case people want to use them, so they don't upload their own haphazardly. Liiiiiiiiiike I did. --Novaster 05:37, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I was thinking in adding them in some place for people who want to make their userpage. Put them in a list so they can choose the one they want, and if there is not the file, they can upload it. Maybe in the Manual of Style or ... dunno if its correct but in the prestige's page (like a little link or cat where they can be seen)..... LOL i was writing this and then ur msg appear hahaha. Well i took mines like yours! haha seems good to me, but maybe prestigeforuthstage is too long dont u think? xD--Hikaru 05:41, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I have made a table with names I think will work. I imagine people will mostly only care about the 45k one. We should definitely upload high quality images, not blurry screenshot crops like some of these are. --Novaster 06:20, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Could shorten the filename to #k instead of the 000s. --Novaster 06:22, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
5k instead of 5,000 is definitive better, for the filename ofcourse, but 5,000 in the /start looks good :). I can upload mine. Does it look blurry? Took a High-16x antialias screenshot and crop it. Its the one that appear at the left top corner in the screens. I still dont have my 45k badge xD --Hikaru 07:29, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
this one looks fine to me. --Novaster 07:37, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Then i will upload it ^^ Maybe i can upload it just a little more bigger, i will do one and then show it to u :). --Hikaru 07:41, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

We probably don't need the |rank bit in the tag, as they all start with P for prestige. That little bit in the tag is just to group icons that have different names but similar function together. The icons look great! --Novaster 09:49, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Yeah definitely leave that rank bit out, it's not needed anymore and is actually bad now that we're making these consistent. You do very excellent work and I'd keep throwing confetti at you but I must sleep. --Novaster 09:55, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Being sorted by P of Prestige seems better. I will just add {{icon image}} then :3! And thx ^^! I am picking the colors from good screens and compared them with the Personal Color, trying to be the more exactly i can cuz the crop i made (and mostly in all screens) have some tones and cant just drop the color i pick (sadly xD). If u see/notice something about the files tell me ^^. Im going to do the rest of the icons tomorrow so we can add the delete tag to all the randoms icon xD. Hahaha we both need rest ^^! Tc and have a good nite :)~ --Hikaru 10:02, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Yeah they're 24x36, which is the same size as the raw crop from the game files, so I assume you're using the icons found there (rsrc - ui -icon - prestige) with that buffer space around 'em cropped out. What makes me sad is I have a gut feeling the developers make huge beautiful versions of these things at first, but then when they need to get into the game we get a shrunk down version to be reasonable dataspace-wise and we end up with these tiny little things. Icons indeed. --Novaster 16:30, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Yeah D: even with max resolution they seem little. I was going to take the one that shows in the overworld but the stroke around it was or too big or too small when i get to add it and the actual got the perfect stroke xD. What makes me wonder is that... if they create a wiki and want people to help, why they in game images (like icons) in the wiki with good resolutions? i know Admins have upload somes but others seem like nowhere to be found xD and need to be make --Hikaru 20:50, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Echo Stone

I'm not sure how to go about the format of echo stone showhides.

There's an example. Thoughts? Trying to find a balance between mimicking the in-game interface and being usable on the wiki. Recon modules were easier, echo stones are weird. Might end up just simplifying it. --Novaster 05:51, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

I dont see anything that will affect the wiki, actually mimicking the game interface is something that makes them nice :). But sadly i dont know how much echo stone mimic the game cuz i have never been in Shadow Lair u//u! Buuuut the Recon Module mimic the in-game perfectly (taking in count what wiki can make and not) So for those that have not went to Shadow Lair is a good thing that can see at least how will it look :3 --Hikaru 06:07, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Yeah it's this whole interactive thing that takes up the whole screen D: --Novaster 06:08, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
But it looks good on a screen from tablet/cellphone/etc and from a normal computer, even with 1024x768 resolutions, it fit xD. Well i saw the page in my phone (The screen is not huge but neither is small) and in my computer i have 1920x1080 resolution but i resizer the window to test it and still is enough space :P! Maaaaybe, 800x600 will see snuggly but in phone looks good so 800x600 would be okay too --Hikaru 06:45, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
