:It is a good idea actually. I just leave my opinion :). Hope this could be made so users understand that, even if we know its a mistake, they dont get mad for the change. For later, more than a tutorial, we can add an "SpiralKnight:" page for the user page (with the policy is approved). To be honest, being new here, couldnt find the page where it help you do a user page, it took me a while to find it, maybe because  "tutorial" wouldnt be a good name for me, but something like a "SpiralKnight:" page WITH the tutorial inside, we can add the categories that have the icons usefull for the pages. Hope this advance :) --Hikaru 20:51, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Noobish Questions

So, there are a few things that I'm not aware of and I don't really know where to find answers. Such a noob. xP So I guess I'll turn to you, since you seem to be a friendly type of person.

1) So, my first question is, how to delete photos that are uploaded? I have uploaded one screenshot, but I'd like to remove it, since it has no place in the wiki.
2) Also another photo related question. How to change their description? Instead of having silly gibberish written I'd like to have {screenshot image} written. Is it perhaps necessary to reupload the same photo and then write a different description?
3) Is there a template for Acquisition section for Vendors? I ask this because I thought since I collect Basil data, that I could help by just automatically insert this data into weapons/gear pages. But by looking at pages I realize the standard has not yet been decided or implemented. For example, Sacred_Snakebite_Keeper_Armor where it says "Vendors who sell the recipe for this item" the code is different from Vog_Cub_Cap one, not to mention Polaris which is in completely different position. You understand, right? I just wanted to be helpful by directly writing "Basil sells this item here at this Depth, and so does this dude Echo and Daxen..." in a nice formated way, since I'm already gathering this info anyway, but I should just... stay out of it, right? xD ----MissNice 15:55, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Hey! haha ofc not! u dont have to be stay out, the more you participate the better for all :). Well, first the answers:
 1. You can't "delete" them, like dissapear them from the wiki, that can only be done by an admin (i guess). But if you want a file (and a page too) be deleted you add a tag delete like this one in the description, and it would help put why are you deleting it like this one for example. The tag add a note in the image and add the image to a category of Candidates for deletion but after that, theres nothing one can do.
 2. And now, how to edit description. Well you just simple need to open the image/file page and at the top there is a label "Edit" like pages. With that you can change its description (thats where you put the tags). You dont need to reupload it unless you want to change the name, for example: File:Number_1-Example is the name but you want to change it for: File:Example-Number_1.png, in that case you need to re-upload cuz you cant move files like you can move pages.
 3. There is a main template (see the links here, (2º) Second Phase > Main Templates). A resume is that i was working in the Spanish wiki, fixing the item's page, when i ask Novaster about why some pages have the order and other doesn't, he said to me that i was planned to do a big acquisition's template first with all items so later it would be implemented. As i want to make the Spanish's wiki look better, i decide to help here first and then go to the Spanish to translate. I started checking all acquisition resources (like Hall of Heroes's vendors, Strangers, Boxes, bundles, and etc) and help put them all in the main template (which later decided to split in all those link you just saw in my talk page) but Basil's information was old and Novaster though it would be better to check it and updated first, add it to the templates and then implemented it in the pages. I said i could help with missions lobbies but not really with arcade, so that's when your help was asked :). You have gathered all that info of Basil and, even when i already have the Mission lobby's data, i mainly needed the Basil's arcade data and when i read you were going with that i was like: YAY!. I know is a tedious work to check the wares of basil in arcade so you dont need to hurry about that, after you take your time and have all the info where you can really said "well, thats all" then we can start adding that data to the main templates. I ask Novaster about it and told me that we can implemented if after we have all the data.
The way you are adding data to your user page is great :3! Is sorted and organized! I suggest we can follow the advice of Novaster, wait for all the data and then start adding them to the template, but you too need to give your opinion :P. In the case you would like to add the data directly to the templates, here is the "format" we follow:
For Arcade only = *
For Arcade and Mission Lobby = , lobby of the NAME and NAME (unbound)
For Mission Lobby only (i doubt it but can happen, who knows) = Basil - Lobby of the NAME and NAME (unbound)
The "only=" is if the recipe is only acquired in the Arcade, i took care of (i think) all the only-recipe of basil, so mostly would be "no" but you may check anyway. I talked with Novaster about the "order" (you can see here (1º) First Phase > Acquisiton 1.0 > Order of the Information) so all the actual data in the templates follow that.
Thats basically all (long post, sorry) if you have any other question, ask without problem :). I will do my best to help you, Novaster is the one who knows (almost) every detail of the wiki format xD but i can share what i have learned :). Take care~ P.D: I forgot to add, Sacred Snakebite Keeper Armor and those armor related have their own template which is done (as i saw) so dont need to worry about those :) --Hikaru 01:40, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for telling me all this, it sets me on the right direction. =) Cheers! --MissNice 16:04, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Report - September 2015

A few things you might want to know.

 • I've added Brinks's Inventory to my data list. I noticed you were working on his page so I figured you could use some fresh juicy data. =) >> User:MissNice#Brinks << It is a screenshot and not written form like I usually do, because there's just a ton of items and cause some of them are bind on purchase and some are not bind on purchase, so a visual representation of his inventory seemed like a better option for you to use. You can now use this and update Brinks's webpage. =)
 • Also added Greave, Kragen, Ricasso, Quillion and Vatel Inventory data. But unlike Brinks, they have some items that show up randomly, so they need to be monitored for a while to place all items in there. I hope this is to your liking. =) Cheers! --MissNice 16:15, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
OH yes yes! And a million yes! This is what i needed to do :3 specially Brinks and Vatel are the most who need it. I liked the way you add you, useful, less work and sorted. Im gonna add after finish my meal. Thx alot x3! Take care and really good job! --Hikaru 00:11, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
Awesome, glad you like it! --MissNice 10:35, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Monstrous Codexes

The Trojan's Monstrous Codex is found in Blades of the Fallen (right before Trojan fight) and the Zombie's Monstrous Codex is found in The Rotting Metropolis (level start). --Snarbylord 17:31, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Saw you already add them to their pages. Thx alot! --Hikaru 23:41, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

NPC individual vs. multiple

Hey there, still on vacation, but I had a moment here. If the NPC is a type of NPC, it needs to be in list format. For example, Nature Sprites and Spiral Wardens are types of NPCs, while "Virgil" is the name of a spiral warden type NPC. The difference becomes difficult to discern when the representatives of an NPC "species" or "race" or "type" don't have their own names, simply using the npc type in the dialogue box. I set up a demo format on Lost Soul of Almire and Lost Soul (Skull) pages, hoping to improve on the stranger page format (Which is horribly out of date and should not be redirected to "strangers", and be "Stranger," as per wiki MoS), but didn't get to it before vacation. --Novaster 04:53, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

Hey Nova~! Well Thepc warning me about it, but i didnt know Nature Sprite would be in list format. I wanted to left Spiral Warden at the end to make it good. I can leave Spiral Warden and Nature Sprite as list (aaaaand dunno if would be the same with Knight, Gremlins, Bosses and etc) but i didnt get it, should i change Strangers for Stranger (move the page) and list ALL strangers there? BUT their pages remain the same? as Individuals? --Hikaru 06:09, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

P.D.: Bosses remain with Boss template or should i change? Feels like to change it but dunno --Hikaru 06:12, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
P.D: Strangers is that what you were saying? x//x --Hikaru 07:14, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

It's looking like my vacation is going to be cut short, so, you can just leave it till then. Should be half a week or so before I get back. Maybe Thurs. --Novaster 16:29, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
Ohh i see, that was pretty short :o! Well i will keep doing a few things then :) --Hikaru 21:19, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

I'm just staring at recent changes procrastinating doing laundry. I will likely get to polishing the NPC stuff later today or tomorrow. --Novaster 21:07, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

Hey there x3! haha i imagine! Was looking foward to it x3! But take your time, today im working in the spanish wiki and tomorrow i will be busy so i will can't help you. Eat, rest so tomorrow you will be frash and ready :o! haha --Hikaru 21:15, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

NPC Page Format v. 3.0

Boop. So NPCs that don't use equipment (knights or otherwise) would just use a paragraph format to describe them within the new Template:Appearance, similar to but not as involved as, say, this description of Bulbasaur on Bulbapedia. --Novaster 20:30, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Seems good to me :D but i find "redundant" the (Icon) Armor: Information what about (Icon *with link and alttext*): Information. Icons speak for themselves aaaaand in a weird case that someone doesnt know what that icon means, they can click and the link page will tell them. --Hikaru 20:43, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Hmm, so, try viewing the most recent version of Vaelyn's page. Is that better? I'm a bit annoyed by the lack of a uniform weapon icon, so I'm just using the sword for now since it's iconic for the whole game anyway. --Novaster 20:56, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
The Sword, as i read the main list of swords, its the "main" weapon of Spiral Knight, so i think the sword icon is perfect :P! And yes ^^ seems good to me, maybe the : is annoying now that is only the icon without the link. But dunno how you see it --Hikaru 21:07, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
EDIT: Ahhh i think they look pretty great now :D --Hikaru 21:15, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Okay, cool...I have no preference regarding the colons, so, I'll remove them. I'm just used to using colons in this fashion. Since it's my mess and fiddling, I'll fix the NPC pages with this new format. It's just moving around what's already there, but it's still work that I've generated. --Novaster 21:16, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
It is true but i prefer that than an unorganized format :3 i might help you later with some of the NPCs page --Hikaru 21:28, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Your transparencies for the NPCs are fantastic. I imagine those will take up enough time xD --Novaster 21:32, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Thank you ^//^! Hahaha they will, but mostly those that doesnt have a mugshot but a store window, like Bulky and Brinks, those are tedious for not having a "fixed" size so i have to compared them to see if it works, and hate to trace they names xD (why Sullivan, why u have such a long title)- Oh that reminds me, what do you though about "titles" for NPCs? like Sullivan, would be like Pit Boss: Coliseum Rewards Supervisor instead of just "Vendor", something that, you can add vendor so the template add the category but if the NPC have a title, like Sullivan or Ricasso, will show that one instead --Hikaru 21:38, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Something like Pit Boss: Coliseum Rewards Supervisor should work. NPCs can call themselves whatever they want, they're still stingy vendors with terrible prices! :P. I'm thinking we should add a small opinion tag like so: Template:Note-VendorEconomics that says "The topic of this article or section is subject to personal opinion, and does not represent any one absolute truth. If you disagree, discuss your concerns on the the talk page before editing.: It is often cheaper to obtain the recipe for an item and craft it than it is to buy it from a vendor." --Novaster 21:43, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Seems good :D. The template could be like:
|type = monster
|subtype = Pit Boss
|role = vendor
|subtitle = Coliseum Rewards Supervisor
So we just need to add the subtitle parameter to the pages, i think, im just giving an idea cuz in the end, you are the one who could do the code cuz i failed miserable trying to fix a single px problem x//D. The Note could be added in the Vendor pages instead of each NPC i think :P --Hikaru 21:55, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Wew, tired. More tomorrow. --Novaster 00:25, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
I think adding the subtitle bit could potentially be confusing, since there's so many different kinds. To resolve the potentially never-ending adjustment of SK's updates/dynamic "status quo," I've removed several switches and allowed manual override of the intro phrase, this way, things are a little easier to work with, but editors will have to pay a little more attention to keep things consistent. --Novaster 21:44, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

NPC Page Format v. 3.1

It seems to be going well. For the galleries, I'm thinking we could move what I view as a redundant bit:

"NAME" as they appear in (the) "PLACE."
Could be instead:
"NAME" in (the) "PLACE."

--Novaster 21:44, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

Oh, i was looking at the recent changes to see what switches did you mean, i think i know which ones now xD. I like it now! Much better i think, the "role" is more importante alone than with the "NPC:". And about the galliers, yeah those were a bit redundant (and kinda long xD) i was going to said the "PAGENAME" would be redundant too buuut without it, i dunno, it doesnt look good. I vote for what you proposed: "PAGENAME" in (the) PLACE. Will going to change it in the format template :) --Hikaru 00:20, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
PD: oh and about titles, is a shame :( i dunno i like those titles! But what you said makes sense --Hikaru 00:26, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks :). The Spiral Warden page took a lot more work than I thought it would (had to find proof for eeeeeeverything and I'm still very uncertain about the release dates). I'm logging off the wiki for today, well, regarding major edits. There's still more work to be done with the page, especially with images and individual page format (nobody made a page for Virgil?!), which I probably won't get to for a while, but I'll try tomorrow. Have fun! --Novaster 01:22, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Trinkets

Hold on there, we're working on a master acquisition template remember? --Novaster 18:21, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

Hahaha did you read my mind? haha i was thinking about that this exact second, was going to look for my files and be sure xD --Hikaru 19:23, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Do we create Trinket/Acquisition or add them in Misc? --Hikaru 19:24, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
What do you think is best? I think Trinket/Acquisition, even though there's not many of them, they do have their own arsenal section. --Novaster 19:31, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Misc seems like an option, but, to be correctly sorted, Trinket/Acquisition its the best, i mean, what is another template for this wiki? also know this could help in the future --Hikaru 19:35, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Go for it wooo. This opal stuff might take a while to get pics of, I have a feeling not many will be unboxed. Also I have a tummy ache. --Novaster 19:37, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Okay then~ Btw, i have to admit Opal Aura looks cool, but im kinda sad its just prize box what the game is giving :(! Later i could do the "new prize box"'s work to help you. Rest for your ache :) sure is annoying D: --Hikaru 19:42, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I'm going to go do that. Only edit if it's fun, it's not fun for me right now xD --Novaster 19:51, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

EventExpired

Merp, opinion on this? In short, it doesn't make sense to have it for certain things and not others, and it interrupts the flow of a page in an unneeded manner. I only support the reskin tag because it might save players some actual cash to get the less expensive version. --Novaster 20:08, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Just left a vote :3 i usually forgot discussions pages exist outsite user's pages xD --Hikaru 22:45, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

ClothoTalk

Do you mind if I (or you) stick the resolved issues into showhides on clotho's talk page? Since we bombard Clotho with so many requests, this helps them keep track of what's done and what's worked-on-but-not-done-yet etc. --Novaster 22:59, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Sounds good, i can keep it in mind for the future. We can help with that so Clotho can add them to archives later :). I dont think it would be bad. --Hikaru 23:04, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I had a specific talk about it in the past :). --Novaster 23:07, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Acquisition vs. idk :P

I'm thinking we remove the bullets if there's only one (non-trading/Auction House) method of acquisition. The Arcane Salamander Suit looks a little silly. --Novaster 14:11, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

We can remove the bullet if the method is just one? and not with a selling vendor (item/recipe)? The Note (in the arcane suit) with the bullet does look silly xD looks like "incomplete" ahaha --Hikaru 17:39, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
