Scarabs will normally spawn in large colonies, and can very easily swarm you with their flying tackles that lock on to players. They always fly in straight line. The best way to get rid of a swarm of Scarabs is with the charge of the Divine Avenger, elementals bombs like the Stagger Storm or the Shivermist Buster can be a good option too.

Grim Scarab

Monstrous Profile
All Tiers
Monster-Grim Scarab.png
Description

Large insects that have a small chance to emerge from any graveyard burrow during the Dark Harvest Festival. (Randomly replaces Dust Zombie spawn).

Notes

Only one will crawl out of its burrow, unlike their smaller cousins. That being said, there could be several burrows in the area, so be prepared for a swarm - especially when fighting them in the Punkin King's lair, where several are guaranteed to show up.
When the Grim Scarab is defeated, a tall Grim Gourdling will get to its feet and fight. It is presumed that these Grim Gourdlings use the Grim Scarabs as some sort of mount, similar to a warrior on a battle horse.
