The Gran Faust is a 5-star sword.
Contents
Description
An upgraded Faust forged from pristine-quality shadow steel. Its charge attacks are powerful enough to curse its wielder, but that hasn't stopped Devilites from treasuring these rare blades even more highly than their meager vacation time.

Attacks
Basic Attack
A two-strike attack similar to other "heavy" swords. Only the 2nd hit has a chance of inflicting curse on the target.
Charge Attack
The knight takes a small step back and takes a wide swing with the sword, which emits a Gran Faust-shaped energy beam which primes for a moment before flying forwards a fair distance before detonating. This beam travels through monsters and over gaps. The sword swing, beam and detonation all deal damage. The Charge-up time compared to the Faust is significantly longer.
The Charge Attack has a chance to inflict Curse on both the enemy and the user. Self-curse will last 40 seconds without resistances.
Damage
The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any UV or bonus from other equipment, and listed as a range found from the first to last floor of each stratum.

Trivia
- The light around the sword of both the Gran Faust and the Divine Avenger bears a resemblance to Excalibur in Sonic and the Black Knight.
- The Gran Faust was formerly carried by Tier 3 Phantoms, but it was changed to their pink Cutter.
- The Faust and Gran Faust are the only weapons in the game that inflict the Curse status.
- While the Gran Faust's speed bar is much longer than Divine Avenger's, there is no significant speed difference between the two swords. Data collected by players suggests that the Gran Faust's combo speed may be slightly slower than Divine Avenger.
- The Gran Faust bar indicates that its speed is identical to the Leviathan Blade, while the Divine Avenger's speed bar is the same as a Troika's. Both these swords however are faster than the Troika but slower than the Leviathan Blade.
