Demo Traits by Tier

All Tiers

Gremlin Demos are the fleet-footed, explosively-inclined monsters of the Clockworks. Dodgy and always having an explosive to drop, Demos use Health Capsules to keep up the seemingly endless barrage of bombs. These Gremlin will sometimes toss a flurry of these explosives, a device similar to the Deconstructor in appearance. In later depths, Demos will increase their drop rate and also how many bombs they throw.

Tier 1

  • Their bombs deal normal damage.

Tier 2

  • Their bombs deal normal damage and elemental damage.
  • Can throw bombs, which inflict stun if they strike a knight mid-flight. May drop bombs when damaged.

Tier 3

  • Their bombs deal strictly elemental damage.
  • Moves very erratically. Drops several bombs when damaged.

Strategy

The topic of this article or section is subject to personal opinion, and does not represent any one absolute truth. If you disagree, discuss your concerns on the the talk page before editing. Guide: Demo Combat

Gremlin Demos are without a doubt the most irritating of all Gremlin types, as they are very hard to hit and leave bombs EVERYWHERE - especially in Tiers 2 and 3. Most players like to use fast swords (such as Flourishes) or bombs. Guns are not as useful since, like most Gremlins, Demos will attempt to dodge gunfire.

Pressure must also be kept on the Gremlin Demos at all times since, like their Thwacker and Scorcher kin, Demos can use a health capsule if left undisturbed long enough, undoing hard-earned damage and prolonging an already frustrating battle.

Notes

The design for Tier 2 and 3 Gremlin Demo helmets comes from the German Stahlhelm. Spike on Tier 3 variant originates from the Pickelhaube.
