Overview

Description:

The source of the strange energy signature is believed to be located somewhere in the Royal Jelly Palace, the home to one of the members of the slime aristocrac, the Royal Jelly.

This might of these sovereign slimes is not to be understimated. Should you find yourself facing this hot-tempered highborn, you would be wise to be equipped with the appropriate gear and backed by a full squad of experienced knights.

It is highly recommended that you equip yourself with pierce resistant gear and shadow damage weapons before deploying for the Royal Jelly Palace!

Objective:

Infiltrate the Royal Jelly Palace and find the mysterious energy source.

Notes

This mission was introduced with release 2012-02-22. The boss stratum composing its floors was introduced with release 2011-02-11, accessible via arcade gates. Players may venture into this area of the Gate-Royal Jelly Palace.png Royal Jelly Palace via The Sovereign Slime or the relevant arcade gate as often as desired.

The Royal Jelly Palace is the name of a geographical area featuring a collection of special maps. As such, it has its own description separate from the mission:

The Royal Jelly Palace is an ancient castle overtaken by a legion of slime monsters. It is unclear what purpose the castle serves, though it is rumored to house a Royal Jelly, said to be nobility within the slime kingdoms. If true then the purpose of the castle is likely to serve the Royal Jelly, and nothing more.

This mission is played often in order to obtain Token-Jelly Gem.png Jelly Gems to exchange with Brinks for related gear.

Notes

The 5-2 Interface-icon-PvE.png Mission: The Sovereign Slime always has this level as the third and final combat floor. With release 2014-05-21, the treasure room layout was changed in association with The Artifact.

The recon module only needs to be collected once, after that, it is accessible via the artifact tab of the player's arsenal.

After Volume II of Harry Mack's soundtracks for Spiral Knights crashed, the "Two Slimes Are Better Than One" was replaced for as short time by "Lichen to a Polyp".
