Come celebrate the Holidays with Winterfest!

Winterfest is an annual event.

Overview

Winter has come to Cradle and all of Haven is covered in a soft blanket of snow. Snipes and monsters alike are in the holiday spirit and the Haven Arcade is being visited by Impostoclaus! - Forum Post.

Gameplay

Many monsters wear festive hats which have no effects on combat abilities.

Arcade

There are no changes to the arcade's gameplay due to this event.

Prestige

"Save Winterfest" is a prestige mission where players must help Impostoclaus by carrying presents to gremlin children in the back alley of Emberlight. Winter Wish tokens are gathered in this mission.

"Grinchlin Assault" is a prestige mission where players attack Grinchlin footholds on Mount Krampus. Materials for crafting Winterfest-related gear at the Mysterious Alchemy Machine drop from Treasure Boxes in this mission.

Rewards and Prizes

There are many different kinds of items available during this event. Winter-festive costumes, usables, furniture, gear, and general cheer are in abundance. How can players obtain these seasonal items?

Using materials gathered from the "Grinchlin Assault" mission, players can craft various Winterfest-related gear at the Mysterious Alchemy Machine.

Special prizes drop in this mission too, namely the Humbug Hat costume and key components for the Grand Solstice Ring trinket.

Players can earn Winter Wish tokens from the "Save Winterfest" mission and exchange them for various prizes with Randolph.

Players can also purchase various Prize Boxes.

Token Exchange

A devilite named Randolph sells Santy Hat costumes (all of which expire) and other festive items in exchange for Winter Wish tokens or Krogmo Coins.

Prize Boxes

• Frosty Prize Box - from Randolph for tokens.^[1]

• Polar Prize Box - with real-world currency.

• Decoration Kit Prize Box - from the Supply Depot.

• Solstice Prize Box - usually made available during Winterfest, as a "Solstice" occurs twice each year, associated with astronomy and seasons of warmth and cold. This box is obtained with real-world currency.

Winterfest Prize Box - This box seems to have been phased out, replaced by either Supply Depot stock and/or Decoration Kit Prize Box contents.

Notes

Haven will be winter-themed during this event. The music in Haven is also changed to more festive tunes.

Most NPCs will wear festive hats for the duration of the event.

Calendar

Winterfest has happened several times. Below is a calendar for each occurrence of this event. Items made at the Mysterious Alchemy Machine can be crafted at any time, so long as the player has the required components in their inventory.

3		2013.20 11 December 2013 - 02 January 2014	23 days	The Grinchlin Assault prestige mission was introduced during this event. The Deadly Candy Poker, Nog Blaster, Humbug Hazer, Jack Froster, and Scalding Hot Cocoa weapons were introduced during this event. Polar recolored accessories were introduced during this event, as well as Polar Wolf costumes and Steam-related Iron aesthetics. Related Patch Notes: 1
4		2014.360 17 December 2014 - 02 January 2015	17 days	Snowflake Eyes were introduced during this event. Polar Warden costumes were introduced during this event.
